Add (register) an after-treatment

Watch this video to learn how to add (register) an after-treatment as a practitioner

Written by Pablo

Who is this for: practitioners.

This video explains how to complete an after-treatment in the treatment record. It instructs viewers to open the relevant record, review the treatment, and click "start inspection and after-treatment" to document findings, conclusions, and advice, adding or shooting photos if needed. Viewers can use tabs to review primary treatment details or switch to previous records, and can end by closing the inspection if no after-treatment is required. To proceed, they select the correct treatment details, mark up the drawing template, write treatment notes, and then close to finalize and send patient-visible details.

Step by step:

  1. To start an after-treatment, open the treatment record that it concerns.

  2. Review this treatment and click the "start inspection and after-treatment" button.

  3. In this screen you're able to note your findings, conclusion and advice. Add or shoot photos if necessary. It's also possible to review the different tabs of the primary treatment or switch to previous records if you may need more information.

  4. If applicable, you can stop here and finish as an inspection. To do this, click the "close inspection" button.

  5. When performing an after-treatment, click the "next" button, the after-treatment tab will show up.

  6. Choose the correct treatment details and shoot photos if you need. Mark up the drawing template and write down treatment notes as needed.

  7. To finalize, click the "close" button, then choose all details you wish to send to your patient.

  8. You're done! In the record section of the patient overview, you can now see the registration of this after-treatment.

Billing for an aftertreatment

An Aftertreatment does not allow you to invoice for the visit. The Aftertreatment appointment type always assumes €0 for its value, and there's no field to enter a price on it. This isn't something clinics configure themselves, it's a structural constraint of that appointment type.

If the visit is billable, for example because a practitioner performs an extra injection or another procedure rather than just a check-up, register it as a separate Treatment instead of an Aftertreatment. A "check-up" is meant to be a free evaluation moment, but if something is actually done, it's typically logged and invoiced as its own Treatment, with its own record.

So if you already started with an aftertreatment and you want to continue with a billed treatment, close the aftertreatment record and open a new record to register the treatment that needs to be billed. It's also good to know that you can have two separate records open, so if you don't have time to fill in all the details for both records during the visit, you can always leave both open and close them later on.
