Treatments can be based and invoiced on a number of materials that are being used, like Botulinum Toxin or a dermal filler. On the other hand, a treatment could be based on a price, and the used materials like e.g., during small surgery do not result in a treatment price (e.g., a blepharoplasty has a certain price-tag regardless if you use 1-2 or 3 cloths during surgery).
Important: Please note that treatments differ from (bookable) services. Services are used exclusively for the (online) calendar and determine which appointments patients can book. Treatments, on the other hand, are used in the medical record for clinical documentation and invoicing. Although a service and a treatment may represent the same procedure in practice, they are technically independent from each other.
Because of this separation, services and treatments must be created individually within the system. A service cannot be converted into a treatment, nor can a treatment be copied to create a service. You therefore need to set up both components separately to ensure that appointments can be booked online and that the performed procedures are correctly documented and invoiced in the medical file.
To add a treatment, open record settings > treatments & products > treatments . Click the plus (+) icon in the right upper corner.
Choose whether you want to add a treatment based on material usage (e.g. a Botulinum Toxin treatment) or treatment with a certain price disregarding how many materials or products are used during the procedure (e.g. a Peeling or eyelid surgery).
