You may wish to add a discount to your treatments based on the amount that is purchased. You can do this by using volume pricing, e.g. 1 zone of botulinum toxin = £200, 2 zones of botulinum toxin = £360 (instead of £400).
To create a treatment with volume pricing navigate to Menu > Record settings > Treatments. Create a new treatment, and fill in the treatment details as well as the price (including taxes).
Next, select Volume pricing. Fill out the cost of the treatment once volume pricing comes to into play.
Note: rounding in the volume pricing display
Sometimes you see a strange behaviour in rounding the volume pricing. Clinicminds stores the price per unit and calculates the total as price × quantity. When a total isn't cleanly divisible by the number of units, the price per unit becomes a repeating decimal that can't be shown exactly, so the displayed total may be off by a small amount (for example, 289.98 instead of 290.00).
Important to know: this is a display behaviour in the settings. As long as you've entered the amount correctly, the correct total is applied in the record and on the invoice.
If you'd like the display in the settings to match exactly as well, you can either choose a volume tier where the total is divisible by the number of units, or enter a price per unit that is already a round amount.
