Treatment categories contain treatments that are performed in the clinic and that belong to the same category. For example, a Botulinum Toxin treatment and a dermal filler HA treatment could both belong to the same category named “Injectables.” A lot of items in Clinicminds are attached to and work with a category. It makes sure to present the right information at the correct moment(s). It is also used to prevent information overload. For example, medical history questions, consent forms, diagnoses, appointments and calendars all interact with the treatment categories that have been set up in the account.

An example of a list of categories could be:

  • Injectables (containing the following treatments: Botox, Hyaluronic Acid type 1, Hyaluronic Acid type 2, Calcium Hydroxylapatite, etc.)

  • Peeling (containing the following treatments: superficial TCA Peel, mid-TCA Peel, deep TCA peel)

  • Blepharoplasty (containing the following treatments: upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, ptosis correction with blepharoplasty, etc.)

  • Laser tattoo removal (containing the following treatments: superficial laser tattoo removal, deep laser tattoo removal, etc.

Figure out which categories you need according to the treatments you provide. You should be able to group the treatments in these categories. Prevent creating a large set of categories.

To add new categories categories go to menu > record settings > treatment categories.

Next, click the + icon at the right upper corner to add a new category. Follow all the steps in the following screen and save it.

To edit an existing category, click on the category to open the category settings page.

Note: Categories can also be assigned to a user while creating a user account in a later step.

Tip

Because categories are so essential in Clinicminds and many attributes that are shown in our application are linked to a category, there's a feature to simplify assigning all the correct attributes to a category.

To do so, click the icon on the right of the category name.

Open every section by clicking on the green plus icon, and tick all the correct checkboxes. Don't forget to click the save button when you're finished.
