You can choose which sender ID you want to use for SMS messages sent to your patients. For example, you can put your clinic name as sender.
In Ireland, it's required to register your sender ID with the Commission for Communications Regulation. They maintain the Sender ID Registry where all organisations that send SMS messages need to be registered.
As long as you have no registered sender ID, SMS messages from your clinic will be delivered to your patients with a generic sender like “Clinicminds”.
Part 1: Registration in Sender ID Registry
Follow the instructions below, depending on whether this is your first sender ID registration, or if you already have an account for the Sender ID Registry:

Click “Sign-up”
Select the option “I’m applying to be a Sender ID Owner”
Enter your organisation details
Click “Next” to go to step 2
Enter your requested sender ID (like your clinic name)
Click “Assign Third Party”, search for “Clinicminds B.V.” and check the “Allowed” box, and click “Save”
Click “Next” to go to step 3
Search for “Bird B.V.” and check the box*
Search for “Spryng B.V.” and check the box*
Click “Next” to go to step 4
Agree to the terms and conditions
Click “Submit” to send your registration

Open senderid.comreg.ie
Click “Log-in”
Log in with your credentials
Click “My Sender IDs”
Click “Request New Sender IDs”
Enter your requested sender ID (like your clinic name)
Click “Assign Third Party”, search for “Clinicminds B.V.” and check the “Allowed” box, and click “Save”
Click “Next” to go to step 2
Search for “Bird B.V.” and check the box*
Search for “Spryng B.V.” and check the box*
Click “Request” to send your registration

If your registration rejected? Please contact ComReg and try to make your registration again with the correct information. Clinicminds cannot assist with this procedure.
Part 2: Verification in Sender ID Registry
After your registration (part 1), you need to wait a few days until you receive a confirmation email that your sender ID is registered. Next, please verify your details:

Click “Log In”
Log in with your credentials
Click “My Sender IDs”
Confirm that you see your “SIDR” code at the top of the page
Confirm that you see your chosen sender ID in the “Sender ID” column
Confirm that you see “Approved” in the “Status” column
Confirm that you see “Bird B.V.” and “Spryng B.V.” in the “OPAs” column*
Confirm that you see “Clinicminds B.V.” in the “Third Parties” column
Take a screenshot of the full page (ensure the details from 5–9 are visible)

Part 3: Setup in Clinicminds
After your registration and verification (part 1 and 2), please finalise your setup in Clinicminds:
Log in to Clinicminds
Under “Sender”, enter your registered sender ID
Click “Save”
Be sure to enter your sender ID exactly the same as you registered it in the Sender ID registry. Pay attention to upper/lower case letters and spaces.
After you emailed the screenshot of your registration (part 2) and updated the sender in Clinicminds (part 3), we will complete the registration with our network providers. This can take several working days.
Using different sender IDs for separate locations
If you would like to use different sender IDs for your locations, you need to register each sender ID in the Sender ID Registry (part 1). If you already registered a sender ID before, follow the steps under “Existing account for the Sender ID Registry” to register the additional sender IDs. Then, follow the steps under part 2 and part 3.
Changing your existing sender ID
If you would like to change your existing sender ID, you need to register the new sender ID in the Sender ID Registry (part 1). Follow the steps under “Existing account for the Sender ID Registry” to register the new sender ID. Then, follow the steps under part 2 and part 3.
* “Bird” and “Spryng” are SMS network providers that are used by Clinicminds. They must be allowed as “OPAs” for your messages to be sent correctly.
