Overview of online schedule approval settings

Understand the different settings and how it effects different booking scenarios

Written by Pablo

To understand how Clinicminds handles online booking we created an overview for you.

Download the pdf to view an overview of the three online booking setting options.

It includes various patient booking scenarios, based on the data available in Clinicminds and the accuracy of the information entered by patients during online booking. You'll also see how bookings are processed depending on the selected settings.

The three approval methods

  1. Full manual: every online booking needs a manual approval.

  2. Hybrid: when the patient's details match what's already in your database, the appointment is approved automatically. If the details don't match closely enough, manual approval is required.

  3. Fully automatic: appointments from new and existing patients are approved automatically whenever the information matches.

Summary of the different online booking settings

The system automatically matches online bookings to existing patients based on the patient's date of birth and verified mobile phone number.

You can choose whether online bookings are automatically approved.

If not, you must manually review and approve each booking. When using automatic approval, patient data are automatically updated if necessary (sex, initials, first name, last name, and email address). This happens when the data entered by the patient during online booking differ from, but are similar to the registered data.

You can finally choose whether these data are always updated automatically. If not, you must manually review and approve bookings where the data are not similar to the registered data.
