How to register a beauty treatment

A short guide for beauticians on registering an appointment, adding a note, and taking payment

Written by Pablo

This article walks you through how to register a beauty treatment in Clinicminds. The beauty workflow is built for speed: schedule, register, note, pay. That's it.

1️⃣ Open the appointment

Open the appointment from your dashboard or calendar. Click the appointment to open the patient view.

2️⃣ Register the treatment

There are two ways to start a treatment:

1) From the appointment popup, click the Start treatment button. This automatically creates a new beauty record and preselects the treatment category and treatment (if applicable) based on the appointment, significantly reducing the number of manual actions needed.

2) From the patient profile, click New Consultation / Treatment. This option is useful when you first want to review previous treatments, notes, or other patient information before starting.

Once opened, select the beauty treatment you've performed from the list. If you performed more than one treatment, you can add multiple treatments within the same appointment. The price will fill in automatically.

3️⃣ Add a short note (optional)

You can add a short note about the appointment. Use this for things like product preferences, observations, or follow-up reminders for the next visit.

💡 Note:

The note field is meant for brief, practical information. It's not a medical record.

4️⃣ Take payment

Continue to the payment tab to complete the payment, select the payment method (cash, card, or any other method your clinic uses), and confirm. The invoice is generated automatically and can be sent to the patient if their email address is on file.

Just like with medical treatments, the payment can be processed either by the beautician or by a reception staff member. In many clinics, the beautician completes the treatment first, after which the reception handles the payment and checkout process.

5️⃣ Finish the appointment

Once payment has been taken, the appointment is marked as finished. The patient is now ready for their next booking.

✨ That's the full flow. Schedule, register, note, pay, finish.
