This article describes how staff members can schedule a video consultation or inspection in the calendar.
First select the appropriate day and time in the calendar. Next, select the appointment type e.g. video consultation. Adjust the appointment duration if desirable or keep the default duration as set in the Treatment Category.
While scheduling the video consultation, it's also possible to select the specific treatment the patient wants to discuss.
Note: the above also applies to video inspections. Simply select "Video inspection" in the appointment type dropdown list.
What a video consultation includes and does not include
A video consultation always includes a video link. The link is generated automatically and sent to the patient in the appointment confirmation. There is no appointment type for a remote consultation without a video link, and the link cannot be turned off.
No physical clinic address is sent for a video consultation, since the appointment takes place online.
The video appointment confirmation text is part of the general confirmation template used for all appointment types. To edit the video appointment reminder e-mail and SMS, go to Menu > Clinic Settings > E-mail & SMS messaging.
Patients cannot upload a photo when booking
There is no option for a patient to upload a photo while booking an appointment, online or otherwise.
If you need a photo before the appointment, the patient sends it to you separately, and a staff member adds it manually as an attachment to the patient file or a treatment record. Accepted file types are JPEG, PDF, DOC, and DOCX, up to 10MB. See "Adding and sending attachments" for the steps.
