There are two settings you need to set up when choosing to work with deposits for appointments scheduled via the regular calendar.

Appointment defaults

Start by opening the window appointment defaults via menu > clinic settings > calendar > appointment defaults.

Under the section “defaults” select the deposit terms that are generally applicable for your appointments and treatments.

Also, choose whether to cancel appointments automatically if deposits are not paid in time.

Note: all default settings can be changed during the scheduling process.

Treatment category specific settings

After selecting the deposit terms, continue to the treatment categories-specific settings. In each treatment category, you can choose to require a deposit per treatment type.

For example, for the treatment category “injectables” you can choose to require a deposit for a video consultation, regular consultation, and a treatment. But not for an inspection or after-treatment appointment.

This means you are free to choose whether to charge a deposit for each different appointment type, per treatment category.
