It could happen that a practitioner consulted a patient but did not have the opportunity to create a record. The practitioner is able to create this record for example the next day and backdate the record.

To backdate a record, follow these steps.

Create a new record like you normally would. Next, scroll down and look up the link Backdate record.

Click this link to open the date selecting window. Select the consultation date.

After saving this window you will notice a warning at the top of the record, clearly marking this record is backdated.

Please note that once you’ve backdated the record, this does not automatically backdate the involved invoice. In this case, you’d still have to edit the invoice separately.

To edit the invoice on the backdated record, simply go to the payment tab and you’ll find ‘Edit invoice’:

After clicking on that, you’ll be greeted with a confirmation. Once you’ve clicked OK, you’re now able to change the invoice date by clicking "Pay".

Now, select the correct invoice date and click "Confirm" to close the invoice.

The invoice date is now backdated as well.
